As the quarter winds down to an end, I find myself looking more and more forward to my winter break from school. This isn't only because I would like some time to myself (though that's a large part of it), but because I can finally catch up on some of my fun reading--and engage those titles that are perhaps too lengthy or complicated for reading simultaneously with textbooks.
In fact, I was so excited about free time for reading that I took some time yesterday to start setting aside the books I plan to take with me on my vacation. Considering that my lay over and plane time are pretty long, I began immediately to select those titles that I haven't even been able to consider because of the attention I have to give my university classes.
Here's my list of books coming with me on my trip:

The really amusing part is that most of my packing space will be taken up by these behemoth books. It's a good thing that I pack light ordinarily! For the fun of it, I'll add up the page count I'm planning for my four day trip: 846 + 814 + 588 = 2248. Perhaps I'll let you all know how that goes!
Do you plan to do much reading on your vacation? What titles are you looking forward to?

Book Love Affair Poll:

Thanks everyone for the input in this last poll. I'm still up in the air about this current layout--and yes, it has some bugs I need to work out. Hopefully, soon it'll settle into something everyone will like. The new poll will be up a little later today!
