About Book Love Affair

"Book Love Affair" means that every time I open the cover of a book, I fall in love.

BLA includes book news, reviews, giveaways, and other events. At BLA the focus is on all types of speculative fiction: fantasy, science fiction, horror, everything. Once in awhile a non-speculative fiction genre may weasel its way into a review now and again, but rarely.

Book Love Affair's Schedule:
Monday -> Monday Coming Attractions
Tuesday -> Review
Thursday -> Review
Friday (2nd/4th) -> Friday Finds
Friday (1st/3rd) -> Review/Misc.
Saturday -> Optional Review/Misc.

Contacting Book Love Affair

Publicists, Authors, and Others Promoting Books:
Book Love Affair only considers reviewing science fiction, fantasy, urban fantasy, horror, and related genres. Generally, BLA is more than happy to host author interviews, reviews, giveaways, and other promotional events, but sometimes may have to decline due to lack of time or if already committed to a number of reviews/events. Unfortunately at this time, BLA is not accepting digital books or self-published or vanity press books. Book Love Affair promises honest and candid reviews. Also, BLA does not consent to any time table for reviewing the book, unless otherwise discussed. Email logically [at] live.com for consideration.

Book Bloggers:
If you're a book blogger and would like to exchange blog links, you may contact me by emailing logically [at] live.com to be considered. (Only book review and book related blogs, please. Even better if you focus in speculative fiction as well.)

Review Requests:
If you'd like to see a specific review, go ahead and check to see if I own the book already. (My comprehensive library is at GuruLib.) If I do, you can request that I review the book in a comment. The only regulation is that I'll only agree to review speculative fiction. I'll comment back to let you know that I'm planning on having the review up and perhaps offer a guess on how long it will take. If I don't own the book, you can recommend that I check it out in a comment here.

Any Comments, Suggestions, Questions, Complaints, Random Thoughts, or Book Recommendations:
Just leave a comment below and I'll get back to you as soon as possible!

Hi, I saw on NumberOneNovels a comment you wrote about Lee Childs son's book. LC's Reacher series is one of my faves... Any info you could pass on would be just grand!
Many thanks... And I love your site!

Ah, I'm glad you came to ask, Cody!

Lee Child, of course, is an author I highly admire. It turns out that Andrew Grant, with his debut novel Even, is Child's little brother! Both use pseudonyms, so--of course--it isn't apparent when you look at the covers!

Hope I helped. :)

Book Love Affair,

PC Cast recently edited a fantastic compilation of fun and juicy vampire-centric stories written by some of the best YA authors. “Immortal: Love Stories with Bite” has pieces by Rachel Vincent and Kristin Cast, just to name a couple. If you’d like to see a copy, I’d be delighted to send one. Additionally, we could offer a giveaway copy for one of your readers, as well. I look forward to hearing from you.

Best Wishes,

Britt Vogel

You may have heard of it but one of the best books I’ve read this year was ‘Shadow of the Wind’ by Carlos Ruiz Zafon. If you love books this is the ultimate because it’s a book about a mysterious book.

@Carax: I've been meaning to read Shadow of the Wind since I picked up The Angel's Game. Thank you for commenting. :)
